February 15, 2024
The spirit of #GIVINGandRECEIVINGinPuertoRico was alive and well as donors gathered with organizations supported by the Gonzalo Aponte Foundation Fund, established 22 years ago at the Puerto Rico Community Foundation.
This month, the Aponte family had the privilege of visiting select beneficiary organizations, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of their philanthropic investments.
Since its inception in 2001, the Gonzalo Aponte Foundation Fund has been a pillar of support for Puerto Rico's community capital, with a total philanthropic investment of $1,463,142.68. Notably, 58 Puerto Rican students, some on multiple occasions, have received $495,500 in scholarships, while 25 organizations have been granted $967,642.68 in funding. Among the visited organizations were Niños De Nueva Esperanza, CREARTE, Hogares Teresa Toda, Centro Esperanza, Inc., and Fundación Santa María de los Ángeles.
