Expanding Family Philanthropic Influence!
Celebrating its 22nd anniversary, the Gonzalo Aponte Foundation Fund, launched under the Puerto Rico Community Foundation (FCPR), recently honored its scholarship recipients and donations to non-profit entities.
A total of eleven students were awarded supplementary scholarships, amounting to $24,000, aimed at easing the financial constraints of their academic pursuits. Concurrently, five organizations received generous donations totaling $15,000, fostering the continuity of their impactful social initiatives. Among the beneficiaries, notable students include Kiara Acosta Luciano (Clinical Psychology), Alberto G. Bernabé Negrón (Clinical Psychology), and Robert A. Peralta León (Administration and Business Development), among others. The recipient organizations encompass a diverse range, from CREARTE in San Juan to Fundación Santa María de los Ángeles in San Juan.
Since its inception in 2001, the Gonzalo Aponte Foundation Fund has significantly contributed to Puerto Rico's community welfare, with a philanthropic investment exceeding $1.4 million. Over the years, 58 Puerto Rican students have been supported with a cumulative sum of $495,500, alongside 25 organizations benefitting from $967,642.68 in funding.
