Olga Iglesias Project - Preserving Puerto Rico’s Classical Musical Legacy
As proud sponsors of the Olga Iglesias Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to arts education, we are delighted to support their mission of enriching the Puerto Rican school community and the public through educational recitals focused on the classical vocal genre. Utilizing the historical collection of Olga Iglesias, a distinguished Puerto Rican soprano, and educational materials from the Metropolitan Opera’s Education Department through a collaborative agreement, the project provides insightful experiences on the genre's history and styles. Led by professional-level singers accepted into the Olga Iglesias Project Fellowship program, these educational recitals include live demonstrations of Puerto Rican and traditional repertoire accompanied by a pianist. Our sponsorship underscores our commitment to nurturing Puerto Rico's cultural heritage and fostering appreciation for its vast talent in the arts.
